Emma is a smart cookie- she looks at the photo album with pictures of aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents and sees a picture of Grandma Gornstein and moves her hand side to side like Grandma does in her song. It is adorable. She also seems to have mastered the "spider" in Itsy Bitsy Spider.
Today, Clara and Emma started their day with a breakfast of toast, cream cheese and yogurt. Mommy gave Emma cream cheese last week during Yom Kippur's break fast and she seemed fine, so it is back on the menu. However, both ladies are teething and not too interested in eating. After some play time, Mommy loaded everyone in the car and headed to Great Play. Gym was lots of fun - there was even another set of twin girls to play with. Clara and Emma loved the slide, playing with the balls and seeing friends. Mommy loves going because it is a safe place for both kids to be for an hour of fun. After a nap in the car, Mommy took the girls to Dobbs Diner for lunch. Even a grilled cheese and french fries wasn't interesting to Clara and Emma- they only ate barely half a sandwich between them. Mommy took Clara and Emma with her to look at a house in Irvington and then headed home and put them down for a nap. The ladies enjoyed playing around with their new toy- the Fisher Price house. In fact, they were content to be in the "prison" alone, with only each other, for a half hour. Mommy got a kick out of watching them play- one was on each side and would open the door, kiss each other and then move back and close the door. Then, they'd open the door and lay down on top of each other in the middle. Priceless. No, Mommy didn't get pictures or videos... oh well. In the late afternoon, Mommy took Clara and Emma to the Ardsley Middle School playground to meet up with Eli. At the suggestion of Mommy's twin mama friend, Stephanie, Mommy took the tunnel and a ball in hopes of keeping Clara and Emma in the same place at the playground. It was short lived, but did entertain them for a bit. Clara and Emma enjoyed the slide and climbing the stairs. It was a little crazy for Mommy to have one climbing up the slide and the other climbing up the stairs, but if they weren't doing that, they were eating wood chips. Oy! Mommy gave up after a half hour- and appreciated Caroline's help, but it was too much! Moral: Clara and Emma can only go to the playground with two adults!
Mommy is also happy to report that Emma is really getting some teeth- Mommy felt the tip of a molar. Clara is still working on several teeth - 8- all at the same time.
