Clara and Emma Party at Heather's Bat Mitzvah

On Saturday, Clara and Emma attended their first bat mitzvah for Heather Luster in NJ. Of course, almost 2 years ago in December, they were technically at Heather's brother's bar mitzvah- since Mommy and Daddy found out that evening that Clara and Emma were on their way!

Clara and Emma slept on the way to Edison and the Gornstein's arrived just in time for the reception. Mommy and Daddy (and Grandma and Grandpa Gornstein) weren't sure how the music and loads of people would go over, but Clara and Emma were stars and loved it.

First, Clara and Emma sat in their highchairs and enjoyed some snack Mommy brought, plus some bread. It seemed to be featured in their hands the entire day- mostly since it was hard bread, it probably was great for teething! When Grandma and Grandpa were invited by Heather to light their candle, Clara and Emma screamed and clapped. When the hora started, Mommy took Emma with her and danced. Emma loved it! Clara watched from the sidelines. Then, the DJ brought out maracas- another favorite of the day. Clara and Emma enjoyed dancing and saying hi to everyone. Clara is very much a walker and loved being on the dance floor. At one point, she just walked out the door and wandered up and down the hallway (with Mommy right behind her).
