Clara and Emma enjoyed toast with almond butter and a banana. Mommy and Daddy have started to give Clara strips of food- toast included, which she enjoys. She takes a bite, chews it and then takes another bite. Clara enjoyed showing Mommy her new skill of getting on the ride on toy and getting off, while Emma continued to find any buckle she could - this morning was the high chair, to play with.

Mommy took Clara and Emma to the mall to buy shoes. It turns out that Clara is a 3 1/2 wide and Emma is a 4. Because Clara walks and Emma doesn't yet, they also needed different types of shoes. Clara was very good about getting measured and Emma wasn't interested in standing up. Clara and Emma liked getting the balloon from Nordstrom the most! You see, it turns out they didn't have a great selection of reasonably priced shoes and they suggested that Mommy visit Stride Rite. It is a good thing, because it turns out that there is a twin discount at the store! Woo hoo! Emma insisted on trying on a shoe and was only happy when Mommy put one on her foot. Funny, since she is always taking socks and shoes off! After a short car nap, Clara and Emma were overtired, but played nicely in their house. Mommy fed them early, gave them a quick bath (Clara cried again) and put them down for the night.

While Clara and Emma have had playdates with Sam and Gabe, they had yet to be out on the town with them. Today, after gym class, Clara and Emma joined Sam, Gabe and their Mommy, Rebecca and nanny, Keisha, at California Pizza Kitchen. It was lots of fun. And, it was a nice suprise to see Stefanie Glusky at CPK too! Clara and Emma both were able to take small slices and eat them (translation: they both took bites and didn't shove the whole thing in their mouths). Clara showed Stef how she can walk. After lunch, the crew headed over to Greenburgh Nature Center. Clara and Emma got to see live turtles, a ferret and an iguana. Emma said "turtle" but got scared when it came near her, even though she was pointing at it. Clara enjoyed walking around and only touched the turtle once.
