Scared at Stew's

The days that Mommy could take Clara and Emma shopping at Stew's seem to be over. Yesterday, when Mommy pushed the cart in the store, Emma started crying- almost like she knew what to expect. It seems, just like last time when Mommy took Clara, Emma and Grandma Frome, Emma was afraid of all the little puppets that flip. In the past, it had been just the one in the fish aisle, but now, it is all of them. Mommy carried Emma throughout the store and she clung to Mommy like a monkey- with both her hands around Mommy's neck and her legs wrapped around Mommy's waist and her head buried too. Clara also got upset, but Mommy doesn't know if she was reacting to Emma crying or if Emma was being held and she wasn't. Mommy appreciated the woman that stopped her and said "twins- I get it- I have a set of 4 year old twins- it gets easier." The good news is that they still love the singing cows in the dairy section and say "monkey" to the spinning monkey near the yogurt.

This morning, which is Daddy's last Saturday at work - Yipeee!!- Mommy took Clara and Emma to the Westchester mall to try a free trial class of Stroller Strides. It was not easy and Mommy enjoyed since because of tax season and illness, Mommy hasn't been to the gym in a few weeks. Clara and Emma seemed to do find and there were plenty of kids older than them too. Both ladies enjoyed when the group sang songs and when Emma heard the music playing, she danced. She also kicked along with Mommy. At the end, both ladies came out of the stroller while Mommy did sit ups. Mommy tried to convice them to join in, but they were more interested in the fun toys that the instructor brought with her and of course, the buckles on the stroller.

In the afternoon, Clara and Emma enjoyed playing with their toy microphones- and Emma says the word too. Mommy taught them how to sing and dance with it and it is quite a site.

Late in the day, Mommy took a quick trip to the house with friend Michele to check out the place and talk paint colors.
