Today was Clara's first day really out and about. Clara, Emma and Daddy joined Mommy at The Rivertown Play Group's Sunday Morning Wake Up. Mommy and Jenn were THRILLED to see so many friends and new faces. There were 24 kids! It was a great morning of fun. Mommy led circle time and Emma sat down and said "hi" to everyone and was even called "the mayor," which Mommy thought was particularly funny. Clara enjoyed going up and down both slides several times.
After a quick trip home for lunch, the gang got back in the car and headed to Livingston, NJ to celebrate Ryan Berman's 4th birthday. It was at NYSC and Clara and Emma wanted to participate like all the other kids, even thought they were bigger and tried to do everything. They kicked the soccer balls, helped with the parachute, rode on the toys, and froze when the music stopped and both turned their hands over and shrugged their shoulders, as if to say, "hey, what happened to that music." They enjoyed a slice of pizza and some berries, but didn't want the ice cream cake. Mommy and Daddy would actually like Clara to eat some ice cream and other cold things, and drink some more, but she isn't too interested. She is eating very well and seems to have found her appetite again.
The Gornsteins took a quick trip to the supermarket before heading home and watching some Elmo, eating dinner and taking a bath before bedtime.
