A Beautiful Spring Day

Today, Mommy went to the city for a quick meeting for The Rivertown Play Group and got to see Robin and Max. Mommy also (in true Mommy form) saw friend Stacey and her friend Alex, from the old building. It was so nice and just like old times.

Mommy came home to find that Clara and Emma were still sleeping after going down for their nap at 12. In fact, they slept until 3! That is the second time this week. Mommy is VERY hopeful that they are learning to sleep longer. It seems some days they do and some days they don't, but from what Mommy understands, this is how it is for a bit.

After they woke up, Mommy loaded them in the stroller and took a nice walk on a beautiful day in town. Mommy passed out cards to parents of young kids and posted some fliers and cards around town for The Rivertown Play Group too. There is always something to do! Clara and Emma enjoyed their stroll and being outside and said hi to anyone that walked by them.

Mommy also want to note that she has seen some big differences with Clara's hearing since the surgery. Yesterday, in the car, when the song "I like to eat apples and bananas" was playing, Clara said "eat, eat." And she is very animated when she hears music or if you ask her if she wants to sing "I'm a Little Teapot," "Wind, Wind the Bobbin," "Wheels on the Bus" or "Open Shut Them." She loves the hand motions and is starting to say some of the words- not super clearly, but it is easy to make out. Mommy went through the animal sounds tonight and Clara participated for the first time with all of them. She knew what a monkey said, what a gorilla did (pound his chest- they know from the Eric Carle book), what a dog says, the sound a cat makes, and even a duck and cow. YAY!!
