Emma couldn't wait to celebrate and was up every hour- sometimes getting her legs caught in the crib slats and sometimes just crying. Mommy didn't know if she too had an ear infection, even though she is on antibiotic (but Clara was too before her surgery). The last time she woke up at 5:45, she woke Clara up and Emma kept pointing to Clara's crib, so Mommy just put them in the crib together and of course, they cuddled up and went right to sleep for a little longer, before waking up and playing.
Clara is doing well. She seems to hear us better and is responding faster- and it is more than Mommy and Daddy noticing- Grandma and Grandpa Frome and Grandpa Gornstein think so too. She continues to have some discharge in her ears that is due to the tubes being placed in while she had an ear infection. She isn't complaining much and is eating well, so everyone is thrilled.
Mommy took Emma to the doctor and the good news is she doesn't have an ear infection. When Emma got home, she was excited to see Grandma Gornstein who came to check on Clara and crew. Clara and Emma enjoyed their snack with their two Grandmas and then took a nap, while Mommy sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather with Grandma and Grandma Frome and Grandma Gornstein.
After their nap, it was off to the new house. Clara and Emma enjoyed visiting all the rooms and helping out with the measuring tape.
Just a quick shout out to everyone who has called, emailed and facebooked Mommy (and Daddy too) with birthday wishes. The Gornsteins are so grateful to have such wonderful family and friends in their lives.
