For fun on this rainy day, Mommy ran through the list of animals that Emma knows and she followed by saying the sound. She even knew donkey (hee haw) and rooster - in which she says a funny version of "cock a doddle do." Clara listened in and Mommy and Daddy are sure she'll be saying them soon too.
Emma also said "poopie" and "bathroom" and kept pointing to it- so Mommy brought the pottys in the family room and let the ladies both sit on them. Emma took the newspaper and tried reading while on the potty. At least she is finding out early what the potty is for... Mommy thinks that for now, it is good to let them play with it and get adjusted to sitting on it.
Both ladies continued to be fascinated with the Thomas the Train book that plays music when you touch the buttons. They both clap along and dance.
The afternoon brought a visit to Buy Buy Baby where Clara and Emma made friends with everyone at the store. And, the gang finally got to watch the Yo Gabba Gabba with Jack Black episode. The Gornstein girls give a thumbs up!
The ladies went to bed without too much of a fuss and that might be because they took a pretty good nap from 11:45- 1:30. Mommy just decided to push them longer and it seems to work. Food is helpful as they get a snack at 10 to get them over the hump and then lunch at 11:15 ish. Oh well. Clara seems to be obsessed with the Body Book still and says something that sounds like "mine" and tries to keep it away from Emma.
A special thanks to Mommy's friend Lisa Silverman and her family for the beautiful fruit basket. It was so kind and thoughtful and yummy! Thanks, Lisa.
