Happy Passover

This morning, Clara and Emma decided to sit at the table and write with pens and thought it was the best thing ever. Anything to keep them happy! Mommy took Clara and Emma back to Great Play, where they hadn't been for a few weeks. Emma had a wonderful time and loved everything. Clara clung to Mommy and enjoyed the swings, the blocks and the ride ons, but didn't want to separate. Both Clara and Emma liked building towers and knocking them down.

Clara won't drink too much and Mommy asked the doctor about it again and got some suggestions. She won't even let Mommy give her tylenol or motrin. The doctor said these few days are tough because the scabs are coming off in her throat so it is normal for her to be fussy. The great news is that she loves to eat again and has enjoyed all her meals since she came home from the hospital.

Because of tax season, Clara's recovery, Mommy's ear infection and house appointments, it became impossible for the Gornstein gang to go to Grandma and Grandpa Frome's for Passover. Mommy is sad, but decided to give Clara and Emma a little taste of Passover. Mommy taught the ladies the words "Passover", "matzah" and "afikomen." Emma said all of them. Mommy also talked about frogs and heard a "ribbit" out of Emma. The ladies enjoyed playing with the Passover puzzle and coloring the placemats that Grandma Gornstein got for them. In the late afternoon, Clara and Emma spoke to Grandma Frome on the video phone on the computer and got to share their new Passover words and sing "I'm a Little Teapot," which Emma requests by saying "pot, pot," and both Clara and Emma have the motions down for, including holding their hands up like a spout! Mommy read them their Passover haggadah and their Passover book, "My First Passover," (even though it is their second, the book is just a story about the holiday).

Everyone is looking forward to celebrating the holiday tomorrow with Grandma and Grandpa Gornstein and family.
