On Saturday, Clara and Emma enjoyed a nice walk with Daddy while Mommy went to the gym and ran errands. The ladies didn't take a great morning nap, but enjoyed lunch with Daddy and played with Mommy before taking their short afternoon nap. Emma wasn't ready to go to sleep when Clara was and even though Mommy usually puts them down at the same time, since it was the weekend, Mommy was flexible. Emma played in the exersaucer and kept trying to pull the apple toy out and making a new, funny face. After their naps, Mommy and Daddy drove to Irvington to go to the park but found out you need to be a resident or go with one. So, Daddy took everyone back to Dobbs to the Waterfront. Clara and Emma enjoyed snacks and their juice/water. After a dinner of broccoli and chicken, Clara and Emma drank their bottles and went to sleep.
Today, Clara and Emma had many firsts. Mommy made french toast for breakfast and both Clara and Emma ate it, along with some raspberries and blueberries. After breakfast, Mommy and Daddy took Clara and Emma on a walk and stopped at the store. The ladies came home and went straight to their room for a nap at 9- and slept until 10:30. As Daddy says, these little girls like to change their minds... and throw you for a loop, just like their Mommy. After their nap, Mommy and Daddy decided to check out Blue Hill at Stonebarns. It was a quick 15 minute drive. Clara and Emma enjoyed lunch at the little cafe and had a frittata that had broccoli and mushrooms and a piece of cheese. Another first- frittata and mushrooms! They loved it. After their lunch, Mommy and Daddy took them for a walk around the farm- they saw sheep, chickens, cows, pigs and many more animals. A quick stop to give them a bottle and let them crawl around and then back in the car for a ride home and afternoon nap. After their nap, Mommy and Daddy decided to take Clara and Emma to the swings- which they loved. Dinner included chicken, whole baby peas (another first) and sweet potato. After their bottle, they didn't fall asleep so easily, but after about 45 minutes of crying, did go to bed. Mommy wonders if they weren't tired because they napped a bit later, but they were yawning and rubbing their eyes, so who knows
