Emma's First Step and The Sillies

Mommy has a new name for Clara and Emma- Silly Gooses.
Today, after dining on a bottle and yogurt with cereal (with which Clara gave herself yet another facial), Mommy took Clara and Emma on a walk on the OCA. Clara and Emma went for a nap from 9-10:15. After their nap and play, they enjoyed a cheese quesadilla and apricot. Day 3 of sippy/straw cup with formula was interesting. Clara and Emma were eager to drink it when they saw the cup and had about 2 oz each before starting to play with it- Emma enjoyed shaking it up and down and Clara liked to push it away and then pick it up again. Of course, they both started throwing them on the floor. Mommy decided not to give them the rest in the bottle since they aren't going to have this formula feed much longer. Since it was only 11:30, Mommy decided to take Clara and Emma to Michael's Crafts Store to pick up frames for the gifts from Aunt Alyssa and to Trader Joe's. The ladies were quite a hit at both stores and enjoyed every minute of it. Clara and Emma were both ready for a nap and cried most of the way home, even though Mommy got there before 1. Clara went right to sleep. Emma, well, she cried and cried and cried. She wasn't interested in napping but was so tired and didn't know what to do with herself. Mommy let them play- yes, them, since Clara woke up from Emma's crying. Emma seemed happy one minute and unhappy the next. She even took a step and then grabbed on to Clara for support. Mommy decided to put them in the car and see if she would sleep. She did. So, Mommy drove around and ended up at Target in White Plains. Mommy didn't give Clara and Emma a huge snack today since they haven't been drinking too much of their bedtime bottle, which is important. Clara and Emma played with the cleaning ladies a bit - they refer to them as "Clarita" and "Emita." Then, the sillies. Clara and Emma thought everything was funny.Clara did lots of praying "hallelujah" and back and forth- Mommy jokes that she looks like she is "davening." Emma kept pouncing on the beanbag and Mommy. To top it off, Clara and Emma both started pulling on each other and laughing. Mommy's favorite moment was when Clara started eating Emma's foot. Dinner featured chicken (thank you Trader Joe's) and a broccoli pancake. Daddy came home early and was able to play with Clara and Emma before helping feed them and put them down for the evening.
