In the morning, Clara showed Daddy how much she enjoys using the walker. Emma still likes to play with the toys on it vs. using it. After their nap, Clara and Emma were quite cranky- teething symptoms included. Emma didn't want Mommy to leave the play area and would shriek each time. Since Mommy couldn't come up with something to calm Clara and Emma, it was time to go for a walk. Mommy took the girls to the bagel store and got them a bagel with cheese for lunch. They loved it! After a trip to the grocery store, Clara and Emma came home and went down for their nap... and slept for 2 hours. Yes, that is right. Mommy couldn't believe it when the clock said 2:30 and they were just waking up!
In the afternoon, Clara and Emma (and Mommy) got a visit from city friends, Robin and her son Max and Naomi and her sons Micah and Eitan (they moved out of Manhattan to Riverdale, but that is still technically the city). It was lots of fun! After playing for a bit, and even though it was very humid, everyone went on a walk to the village for some gelato and got back just before the rain. For dinner, Clara and Emma enjoyed chicken, whole bluberries and raspberries. Clara enjoyed pointing at them, holding them, squeezing them and then finally eating them. Emma just demanded more. Mommy thinks it is no suprise that they love berries, since it is one of Mommy's diet staples.
