Dear Clara,
Today, you turn 2. Mommy and Daddy love the way you say how old you are today - with a huge smile on your face.
You've grown so much over this past year and are certainly a little girl now. Your hair has grown and you have beautiful dark blond curls and eyes that are green and blue- almost a hazel color- all depending on the light.
You love playing with balls, watering plants, playing in the pool and the sand and in the kitchen. Your favorite song in "Wheels on the Bus." And, you love Toot and Puddle, but also enjoy Sesame Street and Gabba.
You enjoy hugging (sometime a little too hard) Emma and holding her hand. You act like a "big sister" and want to make sure she is okay if she is crying. You still sleep with your finger in your mouth and your blankie, which you chew on the end.
You have an amazing concentration when playing and love puzzles, putting things together, stacking cups, putting things in and taking them out- as your speech therapist said this week, you have a future as a mechanical engineer. You also love to read books.
This year, you needed some surgery to get your adenoids out and put tubes in your ears. You recovered well and Mommy and Daddy are thrilled with the progress you've made with your speech.
You are a bright, happy little girl with an independent streak to match your Mommy's. You have a brain for order just like your Daddy's.
Mommy and Daddy and Emma can't wait to grow with you this year.
Happy 2nd Birthday Clara!
