Mommy CAN'T wait for Clara and Emma to go to school. Sure, it was a fun week, but at the grocery store this morning because there is no food in the house, Emma threw the yogurt on the floor, breaking it and splattering yogurt everywhere and then followed it up with the ice cream. This, all despite the heart cookies with "Sparklers" on it that they got to keep them in the cart and "happy." See, even though they go only two days a week, it means shopping in peace. As frustrating as it was, Emma noted to Mommy "Mommy, it is okay. Don't be upset."
This afternoon, Emma woke up very upset from her nap and it took Mommy about 30 minutes to calm her down. Once she and Clara understood that they were going to a birthday party (which they were convinced was for them), they got ready to go.
First stop was picking up the generously donated balloons from Rojay Party. Balloons were in the back, in the passenger seat and Clara and Emma's favorite- with them in the back. Emma's comment "the balloons are so beautiful..."
Then, the gang arrived at The Little Gym in Scarsdale. It was quite a party that Mommy organized - a real birthday party bash for about 30 kids! Clara and Emma were excited to see Daddy arrived in time for pizza (donated from Scarsdale Pizza Station) and cake (from TRPG member Angela of AOCakes). There was even a photographer from LJ Studios documenting the special day. Everyone left with foam picture frames with stickers that they could do at home and of course, balloons!
Clara and Emma were the last to finish their cake and were on a sugar high. They were in rare form for Auntie Alyssa, as she arrived soon after they got home. Emma insisted on dancing naked and Clara was singing "Go Clara" with her guitar.
