Mommy should have known that it was going to be a tough morning from the car ride where Clara got her arms out of her seatbelt and kept reaching over to pull Emma's hair, which was followed by lots of screaming.
Once there, Clara and Emma enjoyed being in the stroller and seeing the taxis, trucks and people. Mommy took them to lunch at Alice's Tea Cup. They got to wear fairy wings and they set the girls up with a plastic cup, silverware and plate for each of them. Clara and Emma couldn't have been more excited to wear the wings and Emma kept saying "I'm so beautiful." When the waitress came over, Emma promptly told her that she was a fairy and a butterfly. Clara and Emma enjoyed not listening to Mommy and it was a stressful lunch. Emma ate most of Mommy's egg and devoured her cookie (which Mommy had to get for them to keep them sitting).
Of course, they didn't want to go in the stroller, so they cried when Mommy put them in. A short walk later, the gang arrived at the Museum of Natural History. Here is a another lesson learned... don't go to a museum during a school break. Oy, what a crowd. Mommy let Clara and Emma out and they loved running around and seeing the animals, but Mommy had to put them back in because it was so crowded and they both wanted to go in different directions. They loved the dinasaurs, mammals and Indian rooms too.
Unfortunately, Clara and Emma weren't going to nap in their stroller- especially all bundled up- Mommy thinks (and hopes) during the summer they might snooze off... but today, Mommy called her friend that was in from out of town and told her it wasn't going to work and got the kids loaded up and headed home.
