Sesame Street Live in NYC!

Mommy decided early this morning to take Clara and Emma to NYC and to Sesame Stree Live! at Madison Square Garden.

Somehow, after speech ended, Mommy managed to make the 9:11 train from Scarsdale to Grand Central. It was an express and it was very fast. Clara and Emma loved the ceiling at Grand Central Station. Mommy walked a few blocks and decided to try the subway from 42nd to 34th Street. Navigating the stations and finding the elevators wasn't too bad and the gang made it to the Garden with lots of time to spare.

Clara and Emma saw Elmo and realized their adventure might have something to do with him. While waiting, they kept yelling, "Elmo, come out."

Finally, it was showtime. The lights went out and Big Bird, Elmo and all their friends came out- and Clara and Emma lit up with excitement, started jumping up and down and saying all the names of the Sesame monsters.

Their favorite part was when the Sesame crew sang "I've Been Working on The Railroad," and then did a salsa number. Yes, Clara and Emma were dancing and bopping along.

Mommy got them out a little before the show ended to pick up the stroller and get back on the subway. This time, Mommy took the shuttle to Grand Central, so there was no need to be in the cold. The gals enjoyed a bagel and making a scene on the way home (but, granted, they were tired). The stroller got stuck on the way out and it tipped over- and the train conductor had to help get it out. The ladies were fine, Mommy is trying to get over it and Clara and Emma came home and took a late nap!
