Mommy is happy to say that this is the last day of the heat wave. It is so hot.
Yesterday, Mommy took the girls and Cheri (the nanny), to the mall in White Plains to do some shopping and mostly, do something in the air conditioning! The girls were very tired because they took a very short(1 hour) morning and afternoon (30 min) nap. Mommy thinks it is because it is hot outside and they are teething. Emma's tooth broke through and Clara's is about to come through. This is their fifth tooth- they have four on top and two on the bottom. The girls were so tired and didn't even nap in the car on the way home from the mall. They cried and cried while eating dinner and getting into their pj's. The good news is they went right to sleep at 5:45 and slept through the night.
The girls went on another walk early this morning and seem to enjoy taking walks after breakfast. Mommy went out when the nanny arrived and did lots of errands. Before Mommy left, she prepared a cheese quesadilla and applesauce for lunch- Cheri reported that Clara and Emma loved it! Since it was so hot, Mommy decided it was time to drive to the Trader Joe's in Scarsdale. It was so close- less than 15 minutes! This makes Mommy happy because her friends that live in Scarsdale are very close! For dinner, the girls enjoyed chicken and grilled zucchini. After dinner, they had a bath to cool off. Mommy is concerned because both girls seem to like to stand in the tub, so baths seem to be quick, even though Clara and Emma like being in the water.
