The Movies

Another tax season Saturday found Daddy at work and Mommy schlepping Clara and Emma out of the house by 8:30 am to make it to spinning at the gym. After a Starbucks snack as a treat, it was off to a gourmet lunch at Target before Clara and Emma went to their first movie, a KidToons screening of The Little Engine That Could at City Center today. Both ladies were excited to bump into friend Jack and his mom, Hilary.  They loved getting the little box (which was a bargain- $3.50) with a bag of popcorn, water and m & m's. Emma was thrilled with her light up shoes showing the way into the theatre. Jack, Clara and Emma picked seats and sat down and waited -with lots of asking about when the movie would start.

They sat for the entire 80 minutes and only had one issue and it was valid- during the scary train part. But, they made it through and they kept talking about how much they enjoyed it. Clara commented about the blue train with the accompanying sentence "blue is my favorite color."

And, a true sign spring is almost here, Daddy barbequed tonight!
