Clara is now in speech therapy twice a week. She is starting to put two words together. She has become opinionated about things, like what shoes she wants to wear (generally her red and white beaded lelli kelly's or purple crocs over her sneakers) and also likes to tell Emma which ones to wear. If she doesn't want to do something, she also makes that clear.
Emma is in physical therapy once a week. She started running and her physical therapist is now working on stairs with her. Some it is certainly a confidence issue, while some is strength. Emma's vocabulary continues to grow and she now has full sentences.
Clara and Emma continue to enjoy the activities they are attend in the area. They started camp over the past week and love going with Mommy. They also go to lots of different kinds of programs with The Rivertown Play Group including indoor and outdoor play groups, trial classes and more.
The potty has been a new development over the past month. Clara and Emma both like to sit on it and read magazines. They also like to instruct Mommy to do the same with them. Clara has yet to go, but Emma has gone a few times (pee only). They both like to wash their hands after too. And, Emma loves to read all of her books on going to the potty. Mommy has decided not to push anything and just see what happens over the next month and then perhaps pick a week to try and train Emma, at least.
Clara and Emma's schedule hasn't shifted too much. They wake up on their own around 7 -7:15, with an occassional earlier waking by one, which obviously wakes the other (this generally doesn't happen in the night, but just in the morning). They take one nap- 11:45 or 12- 2 ish. And, hit the sack at about 6:15.
