Really, It Flies

Yesterday was an eventful day for Clara and Emma. Here is a the way the day started yesterday. Mommy put Clara and Emma down for a nap and Emma continued to scream. Mommy went in to check on her and she had a dirty diaper. Mommy changed her quickly and didn't bother to put on her pants and put her back down. Emma still wouldn't settle down, so Mommy went back in to find Emma's diaper on the floor and poop smeared across her face, hands, legs, sheet and crib. You name it, it was there. Mommy picked Emma up and took her directly to the bath and cleaned her up. Now, Mommy wants everyone to know that she had heard about this kind of stuff but never thought it would happen to her.

In the early afternoon, Emma was evaluated by a physical therapist for early intervention because she isn't walking yet. It was determined that Emma has low tone and a problem with her arches (which Clara seems to have too). Emma will qualify for services and the therapist said that even if Emma starts to walk before the December 15th meeting to discuss the services, that she should still get them to help build strength and ensure that she can run, jump etc. in the future.

Then, after a short nap, Mommy loaded Clara and Emma up to go to the dermatalogist for the Emster to look at the mark on her face. It never went away and it turned out not to be dry skin. The doctor took a picture of it and it just needs to be monitored, but all is well.

It was a good thing Mommy had plans with twin mamas Rebecca and Naomi last night! Mommy came home and Emma was crying (and it was late - after 11). Daddy said that she had been waking up all night. So, Mommy knew it was because the bumper wasn't on her crib and she kept getting stuck. Mommy decided to try switching Clara and Emma. First, Mommy put Emma in Clara's crib. Emma snuggled right up to Clara. Mommy tried hard not to laugh, but it was super cute. Mommy picked Clara up and moved her to Emma's crib and she didn't even flinch. They both slept until 7.

Today, Clara and Emma didn't eat too much of their breakfast. Mommy sees Emma's new teeth bursting through the gums and some redness around one of Clara's "I" teeth still. While Daddy was getting his coat on, Emma said "hat." So, Daddy put his hat on and Emma looked for hers. Funny that both Clara and Emma decided to wear their hats inside while playing when they have no interest in wearing them outside!

Samantha, the babysitter, came again this morning. She watched Clara and Emma while Mommy went to the grocery store. Everyone went to Costco after lunch, where Clara and Emma tasted and loved the cranberry stuffing.
