A Bris, New Purses and Forks

On Saturday, Mommy and Daddy kept Clara and Emma up until 11, with the hopes that they would take one nap for the day, since everyone was attending Jack's bris in the afternoon. The good news is that Clara and Emma slept until 1. The bad news is that by 3:30-4, they were falling on their faces and took a nap in the car on the way home.

The ladies enjoyed their first bris for Michelle and David Birnbaum's son, Jack. Clara and Emma enjoyed wandering the dining room and trying to find things to take off the table. With help from Uncle Dan and Aunt Stefanie, the good news is that they didn't get into too much trouble. Clara and Emma enjoyed the mini bagels quite a bit and the cake. Clara loved playing with Aunt Dara's curls too. Clara and Emma are excited to see Jack and his parents again soon!

Today, Clara and Emma went back to their regular schedule and took a nap around 9:50. Around lunch time, friends Ali and Seth came to visit. Ali knows Mommy from work. It was lots of fun. Clara and Emma received purses from Ali and Seth. Clara enjoyed walking around with hers and Emma liked taking the things in and out. They even came with cell phones that ring!
For dinner, Daddy cooked up a burger and some grilled veggies for Clara and Emma. Mommy and Daddy couldn't figure out why they weren't eating. Daddy suggested giving it to them on a fork, because they seem to enjoy that. Well, he was right. Not only did they like the fork, they tried to put the food on it themselves and feed themselves with it. Clara liked when Mommy or Daddy put the food on the fork and put it in her mouth. Emma's next word should be stubborn because she refused the food if Mommy put it on her fork and only wanted to do it herself. She kept trying to stab the food and scoop it up. If it made it on the fork, it usually fell off before making it to her mouth. It was quite entertaining and a good thing it was bath night!
