It was a Daddy and little ladies weekend as Mommy headed to the city for an outing with Jen, Nikki and Stef. Mommy went to see Spring Awakening and then went to Kittchai for dinner. In the morning, Nikki and Mommy took full advantage of the city and went to Sunday spin and Effy's afterwards- just like old times. Mommy was tired and glad to come home on Sunday afternoon! While Mommy was away, Daddy cleaned and organized the basement and got a new printer- go Daddy!! Mommy also learned that Daddy taught Clara and Emma how to put things down their shirts. Now, they keep lifting each other's shirts up.
Clara is becoming more confident with her walking. She doesn't need to be prompted to walk and sometimes just stands up and takes steps. Daddy calls her "Frankenstein" because she holds her hands out when she walks. She continues to turn the activity table over so she can crawl over it or sit on it, which Mommy thinks is funny, most of the time. Clara seems to want to get out of the pit and is trying to find ways to climb out, including standing on the bean bag chairs! Clara also is enjoying her new found love of climbing stairs. If she is out of the pit, she goes straight for the stairs and starts climbing. She goes very quickly and is very proud of herself. Daddy tried teaching her how to go back down safely. In other news, Clara's eight tooth has come through.
Emma is using lots of words. She is also doing imitating. When Mommy reads the "My Cow Book" and says "the cow can lick" Emma shows how you lick by moving her tounge back and forth. When Mommy reads the books "mirror me" emma imitates Mommy when it says to puff and blow and blows out air. It is very cute. Emma's newest is the sneeze. Mommy says "Ha Choo" and Emma repeats it with a big grin. And, Emma is still waiting for teeth 7 and 8. They seem to be on their way, but havent quite pushed through yet. Emma also is enjoying picking up her animals and giving them hugs and kisses.
Both Clara and Emma love to help clean up after meals. They are big fans of the wet paper towel. Emma seems to understand how to clean her hands and then love to try and put it in her mouth while Clara just holds it, looks at it and then tries to put it in her mouth.
Finally, the Gornstein gang wants to wish Grandma and Grandpa Gornstein a belated Happy 42nd anniversary (last Tuesday) and wants to wish Grandma and Grandpa Frome a happy 40th Anniversary(today or if you are Grandpa Frome, Friday-dont ask). It is a HUGE milestone!! Congratulations.
