Mommy took Emma to the park in Dobbs to meet Cherie and Clara. Mommy realized how little time the ladies spend apart, which will change as they get older. After dinner and a bath where Clara and Emma played with their new beaker bath toys, the ladies downed their bottle and went to sleep.
Today, Mommy's paper floated away in the heavy rainstorm. Clara and Emma woke up at 6:45 am and enjoyed their formula in their straw cups. Clara took hers right away and drank about 4 oz and Emma drank about 2 oz. Mommy is hoping it is just an adjustment. The ladies enjoyed scrambled eggs, applesauce and cheerios. At 8, it started to clear but was too wet for a walk, so Mommy drove Clara and Emma to the grocery store. They were quite a hit and enjoyed trying to touch things and chatting with people. They were tired at about 9, and Mommy pushed them to 9:10 and they slept until 10:30.
At 11, Sonya and her mommy Rachel came over for a playdate lunch. It was lots of fun. Clara and Emma ate pizza bagels for the first time and loved them. At 1, Clara and Emma took their typical 1 hour nap.
After enjoying a snack of apple bars and dried apple bites, Mommy took Clara and Emma to Sride Rite for shoes because Clara and Emma are on the brink of walking and like to stand up everywhere, including the park, and it is probably safer to have some shoes on. Of course, there were two other sets of twins in the store- a 7 yr old pair and a 10 yr old pair... Lots of seeing double!
To end the day, Mommy took Clara and Emma to visit her high school friend, Laura and her twins, Abby and Jack and new baby, Kate in Scarsdale. It was so nice to see her- it has been a LONG time and get to meet her kids. Clara and Emma loved their ball pit.
When Clara and Emma arrived home, Daddy had returned from his trip and was able to help put the ladies down for the evening.
Clara did seem a bit cranky today and Mommy and Daddy noticed that another tooth is on its way. Emma's seem to be taking FOREVER.
Mommy also noticed that Clara and Emma look more like little girls than babies, especially when they smile. Emma has a huge teethy grin and Clara's cheeks pop out - both cute and both unique.
