Last Day as Babies, B'day Celebration in Dobbs, and No MORE Prevacid!

Today is Clara and Emma's last day being known as a baby. The ladies woke up, well Emma woke everyone up, at around 6:30. After their bottle and breakfast, they had some good playtime with Grandpa. Mommy was up early baking and wrapping. Because of the roof construction, Mommy didn't take Clara and Emma for a walk today. The ladies seemed tired at about 8:45 so Mommy put them down for their nap, which they enjoyed until 10 ish. Mommy went to run errands while Clara and Emma enjoyed time with Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma reported that Clara wasn't too interested in the mango at lunch.

In the afternoon, after their nap, Mommy took Clara and Emma to the park to meet up with new friends in the Rivertowns to celebrate their first birthday. Grandma and Grandpa came too! It was nice to see everyone and swim as well. It was a lovely afternoon and Mommy, Clara and Emma are so grateful to have met such wonderful people in the Rivertowns. Friends Annabelle (and her mommy Jennifer), Sonya (and her mommy Rachel), Sebastian (and his mommy Brianna), Nathan (and his mommy Sidne), Gabriel and Samuel (and their mommy Rebecca and Aunt Christina), Matthew (and his mommy Marci) and Kayleigh (and her mommy Eileen). Clara and Emma were very interested in the birthday candle as it was lit and ate some cupcake. Mommy gave it to them in small pieces so there wouldnt be too much shoving of food down their throats... there is plenty of time for that this weekend :)

Mommy also is pleased to share that Emma is no longer taking prevacid. After almost 9 months on the medication, Mommy stopped giving it to Emma earlier this week and was pleased to see that she handled it well- it must mean that her immature sphincter muscle finally grew up! It is interesting because up until just a few weeks ago, Emma was still having some problems after eating. It is something Mommy and Daddy plan to monitor closely, but for now, it is really good news.
