Recovering from Parties, Strawberries and Playdate

Yesterday, Mommy and Daddy were both happy not to have a birthday celebration. While all of the excitement for Clara and Emma's birthday was fun, it was also exhausting! In the morning, Mommy and Daddy took Clara and Emma to the park for lunch and play. Mommy put Clara and Emma in their new shoes, which they weren't such a big fan of, but it allowed them to stand up and walk around with help from Mommy and Daddy in the park. In the afternoon, Clara and Emma enjoyed a quick trip to Babies R Us to help with some returns. Of course, they loved looking at all the things in the store.

It is a crisp, almost like a fall day in Dobbs. This morning, Clara and Emma woke up a little earlier than usual, at 6:30. They enjoyed cheerios, applesauce and yogurt for breakfast. They continue not to be so interested in the formula from a cup. Mommy decided to go cold turkey on offering a bottle after the cup and decided to just do the transition in the morning. Mommy is hoping they'll get the hang of it since they drink other liquids from the cup. After a walk through town, Clara and Emma took a nap and woke up when Cherie arrived. Mommy headed out to look at houses and trying to figure out what the market is like. For lunch, Clara and Emma enjoyed fresh strawberries for the first time. Since they are 1, Mommy thought it was time as they have had them cooked and dried. They loved them.

This afternoon, friends Jennifer and her daughter Anabelle came over to play. It was so nice!
Clara enjoyed showing off her walking skills by confidently taking a few steps and standing the whole time, while Emma cuddled and enjoyed riding on her Elmo push/ride toy with Cheri helping.
