Mommy's Put In Her Place

Emma was up much of last night and Mommy "slept" on the floor next to her.

While Clara was at school, Mommy took Emma (still not feeling great) to the brand new Shop Rite on Central Avenue. It is everything Mommy hoped and it is nice to finally have a store of this size and with this variety in the area.

Both kids were tired and went to bed for a nap voluntarily but popped up minutes later because Clara had to poop- which she did- but all chances of a nap were over. So, in the car they went. They were wild in the car and trying to get out of the car seats and were touching each other and screaming. Mommy, exhausted and with little patience, yelled and said "No one touch each other." Emma responded "Mommy, try saying please no one touch each other. And not yelling, it is nicer." Yes, really. Minutes later, a similar incident and Mommy laughed- what else would one do?

MAnd don't yell. It isn't nice." Yes, really. Clara fell asleep and took about a 45 minute nap.

Emma finally fell asleep in the car late this afternoon while waiting for Clara to finish speech. When Mommy went to get Clara, the speech therapist shared that Clara was weepy and said she missed Mommy and Emma and also that she just didn't seem right. When Mommy asked Clara about it, she said "I just want to be with you, Mommy."  It is unclear why Clara is having separation issues, but Mommy and Daddy think some of it has to do with the fluid in her ears and her not feeling 100%.

Tonight, Clara complained because Emma called her a "copycat."

Daddy is out tonight and it was another struggle with the kids to get them to sleep. There were at least 5 trips to the potty and lots of fighting over which babies they got to sleep with for the night. Emma ended up on the floor and Clara cried herself to sleep.
