Children Bring Joy When There Is Sadness

On Monday morning, the ladies remembered playing with the "straw whistles" and found them again. Clara and Emma also learned how to sit like a lady in Grandma's pink chair in the family room. Mommy and Grandpa Frome also took the gals on a walk to the park and they enjoyed playing on the swings and see saw. In the afternoon, Clara and Emma went to Cousin Laura's house for a cookie in the sukkah. Even though the circumstances for Clara and Emma's visit to Maryland was a sad one, it was nice to see Cousins Laura and Sid and visit a sukkah. And, of course, the cookies were a hit too! After, the Frome/Gornstein ladies went to Aunt Beth's house to give condolences and to see cousins Lisa, Pam and Jonathan (and their families). When the ladies got home, they got to visit with Uncle Adam. They went right to him and enjoyed playing and being silly with him.

Yesterday, the funeral took place for Uncle Morty. While Mommy, Uncle Adam, Aunt Alyssa and Grandma and Grandpa Frome went to the cemetary for the service, Clara and Emma stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's with Bilha and Michal Marcus(thank you!). They went for a walk outside and got to play in the leaves, walk backwards with Michal and even took a nice nap. In the afternoon, Mommy took Clara and Emma to pay a shiva call at Aunt Beth's house. Clara and Emma brought a bit of sunshine to the room and Mommy knows Uncle Morty would have gotten a kick out of Clara and Emma walking around with the dog and cow pull toys that were Cousin Lisa's in the 70's! Clara and Emma ate bagels, cookies and strawberries and were very well-behaved- Mommy was very proud of them.

Today, Mommy drove back from Maryland all by herself, with Clara and Emma in the car. Auntie Alyssa came too and helped entertain the ladies. This is a HUGE accomplishment for Mommy! P.S. - check out their cool TRPG shirts!! Thanks Kim!
