Apple Picking

This morning, Mommy decided it was time to go apple picking. Mommy loaded the ladies in the car and headed up to Stuart's Farm. Clara and Emma enjoyed the ride and looked at the beautiful leaves of fall on the trees. Their favorite part was driving over a red bridge.

Clara and Emma each got their own bags and headed to the orchard. They looked at the trees and said "apples." They picked some that had fallen and Mommy helped them pick some off the trees. The bags were full of apples, but both insisted on carrying them- or pulling them along. They even bit into an apple on their own and ate the whole thing- yummy!

The ladies also ran around the pumpkin patch and picked a pumpkin to take home. And, as a treat, they each got a fresh donut and picked up a right out of the oven apple pie for Daddy!

This afternoon, it was off to Rye Brook for a TRPG weekly drop in play event at JW Tumbles. Clara and Emma enjoyed running around and a mini music class too! They walked in holding hands. Emma stood on step and announced that she was "singing to the music." Clara loved hanging from the bars.

Mommy's friend Sasha told her about the free hayrides at Stew's, so since it was nice, and only 5 pm, Mommy headed over. Clara and Emma loved the little hayride that just goes around the outside of the market-short and sweet, perfect for 2 year olds.

Tonite, Mommy once again implemented the naughty corner- yes, like Uncle Adam's naughty step for Lucas. This corner is where Clara and Emma go if they've done something wrong. Emma has visited twice since Mommy started it yesterday. After a visit tonite, she took one of the Little People and took it over and said to it, "you didn't listen to Mommy, you sit here." Then, she said "okay, you can go play now."

It was also a day of hives- twice. From two things they have had contact hives from before, apple cinnamon oatmeal and cream cheese. This, in addition to benadryl (yes, really) and skin of peaches. Mommy tries to remember that the pediatricians say it isn't a big deal and that it isn't going to harm them. Mommy does find it interesting that it happens to both of them...
