The Gornsteins jumped right back into regular programming as Mommy headed to the gym and Clara and Emma took a walk outside with Daddy. Mommy should note that when she went to the car, she was startled by the large deer standing next to the tree. Of course, she screamed and scared the deer! Ahhh.. nature. When Mommy came home, the gang headed to the Hastings Farmer's Market. This is the place to be in the Rivertowns on a Saturday morning. In addition to the awesome fruits, veggies, meats and fish, there is storytime, music and more! Plus, so many friends were there! Friends Gwenn and her son Ethan, Heather and her daughter Allie, Sara and her son Gussie, Robyn and her twins Tessa and Sadie and friend Emily and her twins, Chole and Justin were all there! It was a nice way to be welcomed home from a week away.
After lunch, Mommy changed the ladies before their nap. Before Mommy changed Emma, she asked her if she wanted to go pee pee on the potty. She said "okay" and walked to the bathroom. Mommy took her pants and diaper off and Emma sat right down and went in the potty! Emma asked for a magazine and read while she went. After, she wanted to wash her hands like a big girl too. Mommy thinks that both last night and today's events mean that Emma may be ready to be potty trained.
The afternoon featured a trip to Target- where Clara decided she didn't want to be in the cart (she had already decided she needed to be in the cart, not in the part where kids ride) and chased after Daddy in the store. Mommy took the kids to Barnes and Noble, upstairs from Target, while Daddy checked out. Clara and Emma played with the train set as Mommy picked out a few potty training books for the ladies.
On the way home, Mommy heard Clara put together two words- "Daddy's Keys." Mommy and Daddy are thrilled with how much Clara is picking up- some of it not clear, but she has made significant strides.
After dinner- which featured yet another meal of refused food, so Clara and Emma got bread and cheese, the ladies had a dance party with Mommy and Daddy to the album from Almost Famous. While Clara and Emma were eating, Emma requested music. Daddy put some on and Mommy and Daddy danced together- and the girls laughed and laughed. They wanted to come dance, so out of the highchairs they came and they danced- around in circles, falling and getting up again. It was lots of fun for everyone.
