A Beautiful Weekend in June

In the morning, Clara and Emma went shopping at Stew's with Mommy and Daddy. And, it was great timing because the cows, sheeps, goats, chickens and ducks were being fed and were up and about. Saturday featured a visit to Flour and Sunshine for cupcakes in Pleasantville. Clara picked out a chocolate one and Mommy and Daddy were convinced she wouldn't try it -but, she loves cupcakes and had both the vanilla and chocolate. Emma didn't like the chocolate at all and went for the vanilla.

Then, it was off to the Winakers in Mt. Kisco. It was a nice visit and Clara and Emma enjoyed playing with Sophie and Max- especially the "zoo ride" where they rode in the wagon in the basement and visited "Mommies sitting on the floor" and saw other wild things. Mommy has to remember this one- it was great!

Today, Clara and Emma went to the Hudson River Fest to celebrate the Quadricentennial. Emma liked walking around the rose garden at Lyndhurst. Clara and Emma both enjoyed seeing the turtles and the frogs. Clara tried following the turtle around and they both tried to watch the frog jump in his cage! Mommy and Daddy enjoyed some wine and cheese tasting and a quick visit with friend Brianna, Sebastian and his grandparents.

Later, the gang headed to the Tarrytown Street Festival and were glad to see the whole Avery/Raab crew again! It was a small street festival, but fun to walk around for a bit. Daddy got italian ice, which Emma tried and Clara wanted nothing to do with... Clara and Emma went to Station Road playground for some sand, slides and swings before heading home.
