At 10, both Clara and Emma had their respective services. It was a little hectic, especially because Emma was especially cranky. In the afternoon, Clara and Emma went to Irvington to see Briana and son Sebastian's new house and have a play date with the regular Friday crew. It was so nice to see everyone again!

On Saturday, Clara and Emma woke up to find Auntie Alyssa greeting them with a big hug. She came to stay on Friday night so she could spend the day with the girls.
Mommy and Auntie Alyssa took a very early class at the gym (730 am), while Clara and Emma stayed with Daddy and ate their breakfast and got dressed. When Mommy and Auntie Alyssa arrived home, Clara and Emma headed to the car and the girls went to the Hastings Farmer's Market. It was a cloudy morning, but Clara and Emma loved walking around, sitting for storytime, listening to the live music (Clara LOVED the guitar), and tasting the food. The market has expanded this year and has more things happening and it makes for a a nice outing with the crew on a Saturday morning.
Mommy then took the gang to Sunflour Cafe in Sleepy Hollow for lunch. Clara and Emma sat in adult chairs and enjoyed their grilled cheese. It rained a bit, but the place is really cute and the food is yummy. After their nap, and some play, including Emma lying on the floor, getting a pillow, putting her head down and taking the cover to the couch end and using it as a blanket for herself and big bird and saying "nap time," Daddy took Mommy and Auntie Alyssa to the train station.
Mommy spent the rest of the weekend in NYC. Mommy and Auntie Alyssa had manis, pedis and massages and then Mommy met up with Jen, Lisa and a few of Jen's friends for dinner at Stanton Social (YUMMY). Mommy slept at Lisa's apartment and headed to meet Stef and Nikki and Jen at Eatery for lunch and then to see God of Carnage. Mommy thought it was fun to stand next to Glenn Close as she was leaving the theater!
While Mommy enjoyed her weekend with her girlfriends, Clara and Emma enjoyed time with Daddy and went to celebrate cousin Andrew's graduation from kindergarten at his house on Long Island. Grandma and Grandpa Gornstein were there too and came home with Clara and Emma to sleep over and help out.
This morning, Mommy took Emma to the eye doctor for a 4 month follow-up from her surgery. The doctor decided not to remove the stents that remain and to check her again in September. Mommy came home with Emma and gave the ladies a bath with Grandma. Clara and Emma LOVED splashing around! In the afternoon, Clara and Emma had a blast at a Great Play make up class. Mommy's favorite moment (one for each) .
-Clara sees the mats going up as the wall so that the coaches can put up the swings. She gets up, and stands there with a big smile and shaking her head up and down in the yes motion, making sure that everyone knows, she is first in line for the swing.
-Emma wants to get on the swing, but Clara is on and her friend Clark is in the other swing. Mommy tells Emma that it isn't time for her turn and when it is time (with Mommy pointing to her watch), Mommy will tell her. A few minutes later, Emma looks at Mommy and says, while pointing to her wrist, "Emma's turn, time now."
And, Mommy, Clara and Emma would really love to know where the sun is. Why is it pouring? A special thanks to Joy's mom and Melanie Grandma for helping Mommy out of Great Play in the rain and waiting with the little ladies while Mommy got the car... Interestingly, she told the girls that she was Melanie's Grandma and when she left, Clara said "Bye Grandma." Clara also has a new word- "okay," which doesn't surprise anyone since Emma says it all the time.
