Clara and Emma are sleeping and Mommy is borrowing Auntie Alyssa's computer to update the blog.
Clara and Emma headed to the beach on Saturday morning with Mommy and Daddy. It was a very rainy day, and everyone was glad to arrive at the beach. Clara and Emma did well in the car- they loved their travel doodle pros and couldn't get enough of their coloring boos with the color wonder markers.
Clara and Emma headed to the Bethany Beach boardwalk and walked around a bit. Mommy couldn't believe that a new Grottos had opened a few weeks ago, so the gang checed it out. While there are no views of the water like at Grandma Frome's favorite in Rehoboth, there are tv's at each booth. Clara and Emma loved the pizza!
Mommy and Daddy weren't sure how the cribs would work since the crib tents weren't on them. The ladies were tired and had a tough time going to sleep.
Sunday was still rainy and cloudy, but there were some moments of sunshine. Clara and Emma checed out the beach and played on the swingset and on the beach.
On Monday, Clara and Emma played at pool with Auntie Alyssa and Mommy while Daddy went to fix tire (the car had a flat that got fixed the night before the Gornsteins left). Clara and Emma loved being in the baby pool. They splashed and played with their beach toys. Emma also enjoyed kicking in the pool- literally standing at the side and kicking her leg.
After a short nap, Mommy and Daddy took Clara and Emma to Rehoboth. Mommy has been coming to this area for summer vacation since she was 5... it seems like some things don't change. Clara and Emma tried the boat ride first-Mommy and Daddy put them in the same boat , not knowing how they'd like it. Well, they loved it. They had huge smiles on their faces as the boats went around and they "drove" and pulled the bell. Then, they tried the firetrucks- which went faster. Mommy and Daddy weren't sure, but both ladies loved it! The carousel wasn't as big of a hit, but Mommy and Daddy loved seeing Clara and Emma's smiles on the rides. Clara and Emma enjoyed some Grotto's pizza in the stroller on the way to the car.
Today, Clara and Emma took a stroller ride to Bethany with Mommy, Daddy and Auntie Alyssa. Clara insisted on wearing her monkey backpack and walking around. Clara and Emma also enjoyed the playground in Bethany. In the afternoon, after Clara and Emma took their best nap of the trip, Mommy and Daddy took them to the beach. Clara and Emma loved sitting and playing with the sand. Mommy took Emma to the water and she saw lots of big kids in the ocean and decided that she also wanted to go in. Mommy held Emma's hand and the ocean came and went over her feet- she giggled and said "ocean, come back." This continued for several minutes. Clara tried it too, and also liked it. In fact, getting them to leave wasn't pretty.
For dinner, Clara and Emma went to Harpoon Hanah's in Fenwick with Mommy, Daddy, Auntie Alyssa and Michael. Clara and Emma were a little excited to be at dinner. Clara and Emma loved the pasta with marinara sauce.
