The 3's week of March 28- April 1
Our week started with an introduction to Spring through an interactive "Bunny in a Hole" poem and art project. The children enjoyed acting out the words with their bunny creations. Monday the children sang songs about spring and Passover with Marcy including "No No No I will Not Let Them Go".
In class we began learning Passover songs and talking about the Seder as a dinner. We also discussed the Symbols on the Seder plate, Pharoah, and the reasons the Jews wanted to leave Egypt. Lauren read the book P is for Passover and reinforced letter recognition using a magnetic board . We also read The Little Red Hen and My First Purim
Once again we had Wacky Wednesday which the children love. They colored and glued the Passover symbols to be assembled on their Seder plates.
Nancy made yellow playdough with any child that was interested in a "cooking" project. We picked yellow because it is a "spring " color.
Jackie has spent some time with the 3's teaching the children the 4 questions in Hebrew. She also explained each of the 4 questions in simple terms the children can understand.
Gina has adopted a guest personality for group time. Ask your children about Miss Penelope Fancy Pants Wiggly Pants.
The next two weeks leading up to Passover we have many projects , stories and songs planned.
