More Illness and Temper Tantrums

It's been an interesting few days.

Yesterday, Emma woke up with a fever so Mommy took the ladies to the doctor's office. It turns out, Emma has strep in her tush! Apparently, kids under 2 are more likely to get it there than in their throats. Because Emma's been having stomach issues, she had to get a special shot with antibiotics instead of something she'd take everyday.

This morning, Clara threw quite a temper tantrum at the supermarket. Mommy pushed them around in the cart with a car, even though the wheels on it were pretty much broken, but Mommy gave in to Clara's request of wanting to be in the car. Of course, at the end, she decided she wanted to be in the green car that another kid was in right next to us in the checkout. Mommy explained calmly that it wasn't for her, but let's just say since Mommy was trying to do self check out, Mommy got to find out how much Clara costs (picture it- Clara screaming and yelling "car" while on the scanner) and then Clara laid down kicking and screaming in the front of the cart because Mommy couldn't carry her. Thank goodness for the kind woman that offered to watch Emma for a moment while Mommy put Clara in the car. Mommy really did try to use everything she's been reading in "The Happiest Toddler on the Block" and Mommy totally got what Clara wanted, but Clara didn't want to do anything but that at that moment.
