Mommy's favorite moment came when she left the living room to get coffee and came back to find that Emma had not only climbed up on the couch, but turned around and sat down with her legs crossed, but holding the remote and changing the channels.
It was the second day in a row that Mommy heard Emma say "yes". Mommy and Daddy thought it was a fluke yesterday when they asked her if she liked strawberries and she said yes. Today, Mommy asked her if the man on Sesame Street was wearing a hat and she said yes.
Also, while watching Sesame with Mommy, Emma saw a horse and said "neigh." Then, Mommy asked what a cow said and she said "moo." So, Mommy kept going. She asked what a pig said and Emma said "oink." The kicker was when Mommy asked what a duck said. Emma said "duck, duck" and then clicked her tounge!
When it was time for their nap, Mommy told Clara to go to the stairs and opened the gate for her to walk out. Mommy let Emma and Clara climb the stairs. At the top, Mommy instructed both ladies to go to their room. Clara stood up and walked right in and Emma crawled in right behind her.
In the afternoon, Mommy invited Heather and her daughter Allie over for a playdate. The ladies played behind the curtains, tried climbing on the chairs, stood on the couch and played with the baby dolls.
Mommy was going to leave one girl in their room and bathe the other, but the minute Mommy picked Emma up, Clara started to cry. So, Clara took Mommy's hand and all headed to the bathroom. Both girls enjoyed their bath and touched their hair, rubbing in the shampoo. Then, Mommy took Clara out and dried her off and wrapped her up in a towel and then held her between her legs while she picked Emma up out of the tub and did the same. Mommy carried Emma and Clara walked to her room wearing her towel. Of course, Mommy should have predicted what happened next... Clara took her towel off and peed on the floor. Oy.
To end the night, Clara and Emma each took turns with the comb brushing one anothers hair. It was one of those moments that you just can't make up and Mommy wished she had videotaped. Another time...
