Happy Mother's Day

It has been a very busy weekend for Clara and Emma.

On Saturday, Grandma and Grandpa Gornstein, Grandma and Grandpa Frome and Auntie Alyssa and Michael came to the house to celebrate Mother's Day. Daddy and Grandpa Gornstein hung lots of pictures, put up shelves and other things to make the house feel like a home. Mommy visited the supermarket twice, including taking the girls on a walk there. Grandma Gornstein managed the BBQ and Grandma Frome made lots of sides. Mommy got dessert from Riviera Bakery- not like Glasers, but pretty great! It was so nice to have the room to everyone at the house and it was a lovely way to celebrate Mother's Day. Clara and Emma loved having so many people to play with!

For Mommy's first Mother's Day, Emma was so excited that she woke up at 4:45 am! Since she woke up screaming, Daddy went in and checked on her and gave her the taggie blanket and she went back to sleep- for 30 minutes. Then, she woke up again and joined Mommy and Daddy in bed until 6:30 or so when Clara woke up. Grandma and Grandpa Frome came at 11 to play while Mommy and Daddy went to Central Ave. to do some shopping for the house. When Mommy and Daddy came home, cousin Lani was visiting. In the late afternoon, the girls went to the Waterfront Park to get some fresh air.

Clara and Emma have four top teeth now and two bottoms. Finger food has been a focus of the past week as the girls are now in highchairs. Emma is doing a great job of picking up cheerios and putting them in her mouth. Clara is having a tougher time, but trying. Mommy gave them bananas cut in half and they were able to pick them and put them in their mouth.

The napping schedule has been a bit all over the place, but Mommy thinks it is because the girls are 9 months and they are probably able to stay up longer. Also, because of the girls being congested and the move, things have been different.

The girls love talking and making sounds. Mommy's new game is if they make a sound, to repeat it and they say it back. Mommy knows that this could cause problems in restaurants.
