Clara and Emma Move To Dobbs Ferry

Greetings from Mommy's office in Dobbs Ferry. Clara and Emma moved out of NYC yesterday. Overall, it was a very smooth move, other than Mommy being sick. The movers did a great job packing the apartment on Monday. Mommy met Daddy in the afternoon and took Clara and Emma for one last walk in Carl Shurz park and then to dinner at Corner Cafe. The girls had a great time- especially Emma, as she shook her head "no" for many laughs from the wait staff. The girls had their evening bottle at home on the floor and went off to bed. Sensing the excitement, the girls woke up early, which was fine since Daddy had to load the car and head to storage to meet the movers. Mommy fed the girls in the stroller and then took them downstairs and let Clara and Emma play in the lobby. Mommy took the girls on a short walk, but they weren't interstested in napping. When Grandma Gornstein arrived, Mommy decided to head up to the house and feed the girls there at 11. The girls napped in the car and together with Grandma Gornstein, entered the new house on the right foot. After playing on the floor, Mommy and Grandma took the girls for a walk in the village, which is a very short walk. Mommy and Grandma had some greek food while the girls napped and then headed to the grocery store for a quick visit.

Today, the girls woke up with stuffy noses and Mommy feels bad that she may have given them her cold. Emma thought 5 am was time to wake up, but went to sleep early, so Mommy and Daddy couldn't complain too much. Mommy's cousin Lani came to visit and brought bagels and lox (yum!). It turns out she lives in Dobbs Ferry too!! She is Grandpa Frome's first cousin. Mommy took the girls for a walk to Hastings and visited the village there. Mommy likes that she can use her big stroller because it pushes so much better! It seems everyone here has a jogging stroller too! Mommy, Daddy and Grandma Gornstein got through lots of boxes, but still have more to do. Mostly, Mommy has tons to do since she has the most stuff! The good news is that Clara and Emma's room is set up!

Oh, while leaving the apartment yesterday, the camera fell out of the diaper bag and broke. Mommy took a few pictures but the camera is really dead, so Mommy is very unhappy. Daddy said he would get Mommy a new camera for Mother's Day- so more pictures soon!

Finally, a quick shout out to Grandma Gornstein. She has been AMAZING with helping during the move- including unpacking, organizing and of course, playing with Clara and Emma. Mommy and Daddy can't imagine what they would have done without her. Thank you!
