Saturday, Clara and Emma and Mommy went with Daddy to the city. Daddy dropped Grandpa Frome off at Auntie Alyssa's house and Clara and Emma were sad to see him go. Clara and Emma enjoyed visiting Daddy's office and made sure to eat some of the goodies in the office for Saturday morning and helped Daddy with some tax returns. Clara even got to run the meeting! Mommy took a walk uptown, which was nice, while Clara and Emma slept. The Gornstein girls arrived at Barnes and Noble in time for storytime. Grandma Frome met the gang there and enjoyed time with Clara, while Emma slept. Mommy wasn't suprised since Emma has always loved sleeping in the stroller. She did wake up for the end and enjoyed some time with Grandma After, everyone went to Totnono's for some pizza. Clara enjoyed flirting with the staff and walking around the place. Before heading home, Mommy made sure to stop in the bakery to pick up some things for Daddy. The ladies both took a nap at home, which meant Mommy and Daddy could take a quick snooze too. Daddy asked Emma if she wanted apple juice and she walked around sayign "apple juice, apple juice" the rest of the day. She also entertained Mommy and Daddy by first refusing to get her diaper changed, but then when clean, coming over and saying poopie, laying down on the diaper pad and trying to put a diaper on herself. Mommy thinks she may have to get a toilet for Emma since she keeps saying poopie, at least to let her sit on. Clara and Emma also enjoyed playing with their little kitchen. Clara preses the water button and then makes the motion for washing hands. Mommy has no idea where she got it.
Today, Clara and Emma had a very busy morning. It started with The Rivertown Play Group's Sunday Morning Wake Up! at Great Play. Clara and Emma were excited to show Daddy their gym and play with their friends. Mommy and Daddy loaded the ladies in the car and set them up with their blankets and both slept during the ride to NYC. The woke up in time to attend Max's first birthday party. Both ladies enjoyed dancing to the music and seeing lots of friends. Emma's is getting in her "I" teeth still and was in lots of pain, demonstrated by the sticking of fingers and hands in her mouth and fussiness. Clara and Emma enjoyed the stroll to Aunt Alyssa's apartment to say hi and pick up Grandma Frome. Everyone headed to Barnes and Noble to read books and run around. Clara showed Grandma Frome some of her new words that she has just started saying, which include Clara "a-ra" - she really can't get the "kah" part. She also knows nose and points to it and eyes too. This is progress for Clara since she hasn't been able to identify body parts. She also seems to know "shoe." Mommy also thinks during dinner she hear a "more" out of Clara. Both Clara and Emma slept on the way home. Clara woke up when Daddy pulled in the driveway and that was it for her, but Emma wanted to sleep more and she slept for another 1.5 hours. After play and dinner, it was off to bed after an exhausting but fun day.
