Emma has been using the word "totally" recently. Today, it was every other sentence.
"Mom, you totally don't let me do what I want to do."
"Mom, you totally never let me wear what I want to wear."
"Mom, you totally don't let me eat what I want to eat."
Yup, raising a 16 year old, not a 3.5 year old.
At school today, the kids got to check on the eggs that were incubating and were excited to see that some had already hatched. Mommy even got to watch one crack his way through the shell and come out. Pretty neat! Clara would like to name one of them "Chickalita," and Emma calls hers "Fancy Nancy."
On the way home from their PT/OT/Speech appointments, Clara announced that she needed drums like Kiki on Fresh Beat Band. She stated she needed two snares, symbols, a high drum, low drum and the kind with a pedal. When asked what she'd do with the drums, she happily stated "play loud to wake everyone up."
Good thing that a friend of hers has a dad that moonlights as a drummer and is willing to let her play on his, because no way, no how are drums coming here.
Tonite, Emma ran over and said to Mommy, "Mommy, I love you," and gave a kiss and hug. Those are the sweet moments...
