Emma was up much of the night with a fever and couldn't go to school. But, Clara got to wear her favorite color, blue (with white) and celebrate Yom Haatzmaut, Israel's Independence Day at school. Mommy and Grandpa David volunteered and got to be part of the special day. The kids flew to Israel, got their passports stamped, sang songs, went to the Western Wall and wrote notes and said the Shema, went to the shuk and had watermelon and pita and got to buy toys with Israeli money, went fishing in Eilat, visited animals on a Kibbutz and went in the sand for an archaeological dig. And, they got to decorate cupcakes they baked with frosting and blue sprinkles.
