Keeping The Gornstein Girls Busy

Clara and Emma are enjoying the warm weather that is lasting into August.

On Wednesday, Mommy took the ladies to Costco- a very twin friendly trip- especially because of the carts with room for two kids!

Yesterday, Mommy kept Clara and Emma very busy. In the morning, Mommy took the ladies on a walk in the village. After their nap and lunch, in which Emma devoured her mac and cheese, Mommy loaded Clara and Emma up to go meet Natalie, to see some houses. After two house visits, Clara and Emma headed home for a nap. After their nap, Mommy took them out again - this time to the Gap on Central Avenue. It was good to get out. Mommy started bringing either the taggie or Emma's lovie in the car- it seems to help her stay calm in the seat.

Last night, Daddy came home a bit early to play with Clara and Emma. He arrived right after they finished dinner and they both screamed with joy when they saw him. Clara and Emma were up to their usual tricks. They enjoyed reading the Belly Button book and showing Daddy where his belly button is and of course, each of their own. They also read the Mirror Me book- to which Emma seems to be ready to perform on demand. She is ready to stick out her tounge like the frog and puff and blow. Clara couldn't stop laughing at Daddy and of course, got the hiccups, which happens every single time she giggles. Clara's has several teeth erupting through and isn't complaining too much- but Mommy wants everyone to know they are sharp- since Clara likes trying to bite Mommy's finger.

Clara and Emma enjoyed a nice bath- splashing around and standing up. Mommy and Daddy be them not to stand, but neither is interested in hearing "no." Emma is attached to the rubber duckie - and really, anything duck like. Clara loves reading in the tub. Clara and Emma both like moving around in the tub. In fact, Clara tried lying on her belly a few times. Mommy was not happy and afraid that she would stick her head in, but Clara really didn't seem to mind. After the bath, Clara and Emma don't want to get dressed and crawl or walk off. Mommy and Daddy could compete in the "putting on the diaper while child is moving" olympics... and win. Emma is starting to have a few ounces of milk at night, but still is not interested. Clara finishes her bottle- she now crawls or walks over to the boppy and puts herself down in it and gets ready to be given the bottle to feed herself. Sometimes, she takes a break, moves around, reads a book, and then goes back to the boppy. It is so funny that she knows where to go to feed herself.
