After a long day that included camp and a trip to Long Island to celebrate Andrew's 9th birthday, the kids stayed up late and got to watch fireworks from the deck!
Not too loud and a view a bit restricted, but still a good first experience with fireworks.
All day, they kept talking about July 4th and fireworks. By the time the gang got home tonite, it was already 830- pretty close to firework time!
They will probably be incredibly cranky, but totally worth it to see their faces and hear their comments. Clara said "I've been dreaming of this!" and Emma made sure to profusely thank Mommy and Daddy. She added "it's pink! And rainbow! Wow!"
